SilencerCo silencers like the Omega and the Saker, available online from Omaha Outdoors, are an excellent choice for protecting your ears from loud noises. After all, that's the primary purpose of these devices – to render "hearing safe" a firearm that would otherwise cause hearing loss over time.
Founded in 2008, SilencerCo has rapidly become the number one suppressor manufacturer in the United States. They've pushed the boundaries of conventional thought on silencer manufacturing and design, introducing innovative products like the 12 gauge Salvo shotgun silencer and the Maxim 9mm suppressed pistol with both short and long integral suppressor components. At the same time, they've met the needs of the silencer market as a whole with excellent pistol and rifle cans such as the Saker, Osprey, Hybrid, Warlock, and Omega K.
The SilencerCo Omega suppressor is designed to handle everything from 5.7x28 to .300 Win Mag and even includes an integral muzzle brake at the business end of the silencer to further control recoil. Their first design was the 22 LR Sparrow, a product they still proudly manufacture every day. It introduced Multi Part Containment technology allowing for easy cleaning, a problem that long plagued rimfire suppressors as a result of rapid lead buildup.
SilencerCo's Saker is an all-around superstar for both 5.56mm and 7.62mm platforms, constructed of stainless steel and stellite for the ultimate in durability. The Saker ASR (Active Spring Retention) mount design ensures consistent and easy mounting on a wide variety of attachment devices such as the MAAD brake. The Silencerco Warlock is meant to be the lightest 22 LR silencer on the market at only 3 ounces – less than an unloaded Magpul PMag! It's also easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning.
At a length of only 4.7", the Omega K in 9mm is almost as short as those super stubby fake silencers you see in movies, but the Omega K actually cuts down on noise. There's also a 45 caliber version that's longer – both are capable of handling 300 AAC Blackout, while the 45 version also handles 40 Smith and Wesson as well as the venerable 45 ACP.
If you want one silencer for just about anything you can think of, check out the SilencerCo Hybrid 46. 9mm? Of course. 45 ACP? Yes. 5.56mm and 7.62mm and 300 Blackout? Uh huh. What about .458 SOCOM, .45-70 Government and even .338 Lapua Magnum in barrels as short as 18"? Obviously! Made of titanium and stainless steel, it's less than 8" long and offers a number of different attachment methods.
Instantly recognizable with its slab-sided design intended to reduce the vertical bulk of the silencer, thus making it more compatible with most standard pistol sights, the SilencerCo Osprey provides extremely effective sound reduction along with multicaliber compatibility and a lightweight design.
