Sig Sauer understands the rigorous requirements that law enforcement and security professionals have to deal with, which is why they make all their weapons to stringent standards, ensuring that anyone can get the tactical performance they need. Using all of the best and latest technologies, they designed the P320 as the ultimate expression of the pistol, allowing shooters to rely on one platform that could provide for all of their shooting needs. If quality and reliability is your need, this is the place to look.
Everything about the P320 was designed with innovative techniques in mind, working to provide shooters with the ultimate in power and reliability. Whatever the job is, there is a configuration fit for you. Like its earlier P250 model, the P320 was built as a modular design platform, and starts with the serialized stainless steel frame, which is the foundation of the weapon. From there, you can choose a standard trigger or a trigger with a safety tab.
After this has been selected, you go to the main size features of the weapon. You can grab a full-sized barrel, slide assembly, and grip module. Or, you can select between compact, carry, or subcompact models to get the weapon to fit your needs. Caliber options include 9mm, .40 SW, and .357 Sig. To enhance the shooting experience, the weapon is full of other extras, such as the integrated M1913 rail to allow easy attachment of accessories.
For safety, the weapon includes both a striker safety to avoid striker from releasing without use of the trigger and a disconnect safety, which prevents firing out of battery. It also uses a 3-point takedown safety system, which acts as a safety and allows for tool-free cleaning and disassembly. When it comes to optics, shooters can choose between contrast sights or SIGLITE night sights for all hour usage.
Dimensions of the weapon vary based on the size you opt to carry, but all handguns include a smooth 5.5-6.5 lbs. trigger pull, which allows for exceptionally tight groupings. The full-sized model comes with an overall length of 8", height of 5.5", and 4.7" barrel. It weighs in at 29.4 oz. with its magazine inserted and allows for 17 rounds of 9mm ammo and 14 rounds of either .357 Sig or .40 SW. The carry model features the same magazine capacity as the full size and has the same height of 5.5" to accommodate on this. The barrel is cut back to 3.9" and the overall length is shortened to 7.2", making it ideal for all-day duty carry. The 26 oz. overall weight helps enhance this feel.
The compact model measures 7.2" long and 5.3" tall with a 3.9" barrel. Its 9mm takes 15 rounds and both the .357 Sig and .40 SW take 13 rounds. It weighs 26 oz. with its magazine inserted. Finally, the subcompact model rounds out the series with a 6.7" overall length and 4.7" height. It uses a 3.6" barrel, putting it on the larger size of subcompact models. It holds 12 rounds of 9mm or 10 round of .357 Sig or .40 SW.
