Redfield: You Know The Name

Redfield was founded in 1909 by John H. Redfield as the Redfield Gun Sight Company. Originally making open iron sights, the company expanded to produce riflescopes, mounts, binoculars, and spotting scopes. Unfortunately, the company closed its doors in 1998, but was acquired by Leupold & Stevens, Inc ten years later. Moving operations to Beaverton, Oregon, where 650 people are employed to design and build the highest quality optics America has to offer, Redfield is now a great American comeback story.

Riflescopes, Spotting Scopes, and Binoculars

The bread and butter of the Redfield line is the Revolution riflescope with four different zoom and objective lens configurations available: 2-7x33, 3-9x40, 3-9x50, and 4-12x40. While the 2-7x33 would make an excellent addition to a hog hunting rifle or big bore rifle used in the thick woods of Alaska, the 3-9x40 is the classic American hunting riflescope configuration, and its larger objective lens 3-9x50 offers a bump in available light when hunting at dawn or dusk, although the larger objective might necessitate higher mounts to clear larger barrels. The 4-12x40 is for hunters making those longer shots across wide fields or canyons. All of these scopes feature 1" main tubes.

There's also the Revolution \ TAC for tactical shooters on a budget – a custom version of the 3-9x40 with knurled ¼ MOA elevation and windage adjustments featuring tactile and audible clicks for precision point of impact changes right when you need them. The TAC-MOA reticle is used on this scope, giving the shooter stadia lines on both the vertical and horizontal crosshairs at two MOA increments. Built in Oregon and backed by the Redfield No Excuses Lifetime Warranty, the Revolution \ TAC gives far more expensive scopes a serious run for their money.

All Revolution riflescopes feature the Illuminator Lens System of coatings and glass to transmit as much available light as possible to the shooter's eye, leaving you no excuses for a missed shot. They are complemented by Redfield's Rebel, Battlefield, and Renegade binoculars, the Rampage 20-60 spotting scope, and the Raider 650 laser rangefinder. Redfield non-electronic products are backed by the Redfield No Excuses Lifetime Warranty, while any electronic components are warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for two years from the date of purchase.
