IWI USA manufactures a variety of well-known and respected firearms within the industry, offering shooters some great tactical options. Since these weapons were designed to deal with the conditions encountered by the IDF, they provide shooters with consistent performance that will put up with a variety of stressful situations. There are few places where people encounter more combat than over in Israel, which is why these weapons need to live up to stringent performance standards.

IWI Latest Releases – The Tavor X95

Built as the next generation of the legendary Tavor SAR bullpup rifle, the X95 is perfect tactical or home defense carbine to have on hand. It offers a variety of important changes that make usability that much better, starting with the fire control pack, which now uses a 5-6 lb. trigger pull for smoother performance. The ambidextrous mag release is relocated the AR-15 position, the forearm now uses picatinny rails at the 3,6, and 9 o'clock positions to complement the flattop rail, and the charging handle is moved to the center of mass, allowing for a better overall balance.

In addition to these changes, you can now swap out the modular Tavor-style pistol grip for a smaller, standard pistol grip and a lower profile bolt release button. The gun still operates on a semi-auto gas piston system with a closed rotating bolt for reliability. It uses a cold hammer forged barrel that is chrome lined for durability. The folding front sight uses a tritium insert and the rear sight aperture offers a streamlined design for easy accuracy. Chambered in 5.56 NATO, it is ready to deliver unrelenting performance wherever you might be. Available in standard black (XB16), flat dark earth (XFD16), or green (XG16), anyone can find a good option to fit his needs.

IWI Assault Rifles and Carbines

The IWI Tavor is perhaps the most recognizable product that the company offers, bringing with it performance that will impress any firearm owner. Developed in 1982 after a long collaboration with the IDF, this weapon was meant to really ensure that soldiers could have a weapon that would never fail them in times of crisis. It uses a bullpup layout and integrates easy field stripping to ensure easy maintenance in the field. Over the years, the company continued to work on the Tavor, integrating new technologies to provide for an extremely reliable weapon. Each of these rifles uses the 5.56 NATO standard round.

The X95 is another bullpup design offered by IWI. It uses a long barrel with ambidextrous controls to deliver a very accurate and reliable system. Like the Tavor, it is chambered in 5.56 NATO to provide the best performance in the field. Aside from these bullpups, IWI also makes a couple of standard layout assault rifles and carbines. The ACE and the GALIL are these two popular models, and are made to provide regular performance under battlefield conditions.

The GALIL has been in military service with the IDF infantry for over 30 years and offers an AR-style action. It uses 5.56 NATO rounds and includes a 35 round magazine to offer some extra capacity. The durable construction and reliable action make it an excellent option. Updates for the modern soldier, the ACE series is ready in either 5.56 NATO or 7.62x39mm.

Sub Machine Guns and Light Machine Guns

For military purposes, a good light machine gun can be a real asset in the field. The NEGEV is IWI's take on the modern light machine gun. Built for either 5.56mm or 7.62mm ammo, this open bolt machine gun is built to withstand the stresses of battle. It offers the same performance standards as the rifles and provides a great alternative in the field. Model options include the SF and NG7, the former using the light round and the latter chambered in 7.62.

They also make submachine guns, one modeled after the X95 carbine. Built to the same basic specifications, the major difference is that the barrel, chamber, and magazine are modified to be loaded with 9mm rounds. This change makes it ideal for tactical operations and allows for use in tighter quarters. If you want something more traditional, the UZI model is their most popular submachine gun platform, and offers the performance you would expect from such a weapon.

Israeli Weapons Industries Pistols

The pistol manufacturing process at IWI starts and ends with the Jericho. This popular handgun comes in either a steel frame or a polymer frame. Obviously, the polymer frame offers a lighter carry weight, but as a result recoil can be a bit harsher. Either frame you choose, users benefit from either 9mm or .40 S&W and can enjoy optional tritium sights to provide the best picture in the field. Made for war, these weapons are built to endure the harsh elements that one might encounter while fighting in the desert environment.

Other Weapons Made by IWI

IWI also manufactures a variety of sniper rifles and law enforcement specific weapons. Like all of their other models, there are designed with practical service use in mind, ensuring they are made durable and ready to stand up to the elements of war. Furthermore, they offer magazines and parts made specifically for their weapons, which are all available online to give you the best chance at success.
