DPMS Panther Arms Delivers Top Quality Rifles

Defense Procurement Manufacturing Services (DPMS Firearms) was founded in 1985 by Randy Luth to serve as a government contract consulting company. They originally worked in this capacity to provide precision machined parts for military applications, specifically focusing on the M-16 / AR-15 rifles. After a few years, they began focusing on the 1911 model pistol and AR-15 parts to give their clients the best in accuracy and performance. After many years, they now offer some of the best rifles on the market today, ensuring that shooters are able to get the performance they need to work under any conditions. Today it remains the go-to provider for many law enforcement and military organizations, including the US Border Patrol.

The New GII Series

With a slogan “designed II dominate,” the GII series of rifles comes into the lineup to provide shooters with a modern battle rifle that they could trust under any working conditions. It comes with a forged upper and lower receiver, offering a rugged construction that can stand up with the elements you might encounter in the battlefield. The enlarged ejection port helps ensure a smooth cycling rate while the standard M4 dimensions make it just the right size.

The weapon uses a Monolithic bolt carrier, which offers an improved extractor and spring assembly. It comes with dual ejectors to provide the smoothest operation and offered a reduced mass to ensure smooth operation of the weapon. The weapon comes chambered in 7.62 NATO / .308, giving it the ability to accept a wider variety of ammo. Users can choose between a variety of configurations, including many 16” models as well as an 18”, 20”, and 24” barrel configuration. All of them offer the high level of performance you would expect from DPMS.

Tactical Rifles

DPMS Panther Arms offers a variety of tactical rifles to ensure that shooters are always able to find the platform they need to succeed. The Recon model is their base tactical rifle. It uses a forged 7075-T6 aluminum upper and lower receiver, offering the durability you need under pressure. The barrel is bead blasted and built to last, providing exceptional accuracy with every shot. At the top of this 16” barrel you will find an AAC flash hinder, which reduces the muzzle profile and helps diminish the felt recoil. It works off a free-floating handguard to provide a more secure grip and is chambered to accept either 5.56 NATO or .223 Rem.

Restricted/NFA Rifles

Many times, citizens are looking for an NFA firearm because they want something that is shorter and easier to transport. The most popular model produced by DPMS is the 11.5” barrel carbine. This uses the same quality construction as their tactical rifles but comes with the shorter barrel and is topped with an A2 flash hinder. If you want to go with military and law enforcement standards ,the DPMS AP4 Carbine is the way to go. This model uses a 14.5” barrel and comes standard with a detachable carry handle and A2 flasher hinder attached.

Competition Rifles

Panther arms also offers a variety of competition rifles to help suit your unique needs. Whether you need a 5.56 / .223, a 6.5 Creedmore, or a 7.62 / .308 rifle, you can find a variety of competition models available for purchase. Each of these is tweaked to ensure the best performance during competitive use, cutting out unnecessary weight and working on the recoil to give the easiest shooting experience at the range.

Hunting Rifles

Of course, DPMS realizes that not everyone is a tactical operator and not everyone is a precision shooter either. Instead, there are a great deal of hunters out there who are looking for a quality rifle. With that in mind, they offer nearly a dozen different hunting rifle configurations to suit your needs. Whether you are going after predators with the Prairie Panther .223 featuring a brush finish or hunting big game with their Long Range Lite chambered in 7.62 / .308, you can be sure you’ll get the accuracy and reliability you need in the field.

Varmint/Target Rifles

Of course, you might always want to do some varmint hunting, and Panther Arms has some .223 rifles built just for that purpose. If the .223 round seems like too much for varmint hunting, you might consider their LR-204, which is chambered in the insanely fast .204 Ruger round, which will fly at over 4,000 fps. If this doesn’t give you the speed you need to kill that varmint, then you need to work on your accuracy some more.

Other Available Options

Naturally, DPMS also works to produce a variety of accessories and parts to ensure you can always operate their rifles with the best reliability. If you need to get cleaning supplies, repair tools, or replacements springs/parts, you can be sure to find them online. They also work with many of their most popular models to ensure they are state compliant. For example, they offer many California compliant models to ensure you can own the right weapon even when you live in a state that is less than friendly towards gun owners.
