Cerakote Services – Cerakoting Pistols, Rifles, and Shotguns

Are you the kind of shooter that appreciates the way a gun looks as much as the way it performs? Do you want a weapon that has a truly unique personality? Is there a color scheme that you are looking to accomplish with your favorite weapons? Though this might sound like a tall order, Omaha Outdoors now offers a cerakote service to help you accomplish just this.

To get your favorite gun cerakoted, you only need to ship your parts or firearms to Omaha Outdoors and our experts will apply the coating. Turnaround time for this service averages only 10-15 business days, but can be extended based on volume and level of difficulty. This service makes for a perfect holiday or birthday gift, allowing you to customize your weapons to look exactly as you wish. It gives the weapon a unique look and helps to set you apart when you go to the range.

At Omaha Outdoors, we also offer complete firearms that are pre-coated. This makes it easy to order a new weapon that already fits your needs without having to send us anything. This can be especially popular if you want to keep your existing firearm the way it is but add a new one to your collection with a cerakote. Rather than have to buy the gun separately and then ship it to us for the coating, you can simply order it pre-done online. This saves you time and money and helps ensure you can easily find what you need in one convenient place.

Keep in mind, prices do not include shipping costs. If you need to ship us anything to be coated, you will be responsible for shipping.

What is Cerakote?

Cerakote is a ceramic finish that can be applied to a wide variety of surfaces including metals, wood, plastics, and other polymers. The process of finishing a gun actually increases several helpful properties, such as locking in additional corrosion resistance and improving the hardness of the frame. It uses the most advanced formulas to deliver a ceramic coating that was made to improve any surface it is applied to and provide for a long life in the process. Coating firearms has become popular for its ability to offer a unique color more than any other reason, but it is important that it also offers additional protection.

How Durable is Cerakote?

One of the biggest fears people have is worrying their finished might not put up with the stresses of regular use. In reality, this coat is extremely durable and will put up with normal wear and tear for some time. Whether it is drawn in and out of a holster or used regularly at the range, a weapon should maintain its new finish for at least a few years with minimal signs of wear.

Of course, like anything else, there is some limit to the durability of this finish. It does hold up if you start rubbing it against rocks, metals, or other hard surfaces. Since you should not be doing this with your guns anyways, they should keep their initial appeal for as long as you need them. Just remember, they are not scratch resistant, so if you do handle them under extreme conditions the cerakote might wear off.
