Burris Optics sold online by Omaha Outdoors stand among the best scopes and binoculars money can buy, but they're priced to be within reach of almost any shooter.
Burris Optics sold online by Omaha Outdoors have become known for clarity, ruggedness, ease of use, and innovative design features. From the legendary Burris XTR II riflescope to the surprisingly affordable Fullfield II, Burris has an optic that will meet your needs and fit your budget.
New Colors and New Scopes
Burris released the RT-6 Riflescope recently and in so doing has undoubtedly made a lot of their competitors seek out a prescription for sleeping pills. Designed as a light, short, extremely fast to acquire scope in the 1-6 category, the RT-6 was designed with competition in mind, but it has military, law enforcement, and general shooting applications as well. With a 30mm tube, you'd expect it to be priced extremely high, but it's surprisingly affordable.
For the high end long range shooter, Burris now offers the XTR II line, like the XTR II 5-25x50mm, in a Flat Dark Earth finish, sure to be popular with shooters who have purchased FDE precision rifles and need a matching scope but don't want to use spray paint. Finally, for those who gravitate towards the excellent MTAC 1-4 scopes, they are newly available in Prym-1 camo patterns to, as Burris puts it, “help your favorite AR stand out at the range.” We were under the impression that the objective of camouflage is exactly the opposite of “standing out,” but to each their own.
The Bread & Butter of Burris
Most shooters who know the Burris name are familiar with their Fullfield II or MTAC lines, and for good reason. A Fullfield II 3-9x40mm is a fine choice for any short to medium range deer or elk hunt, and the MTAC 1-4x24mm has found a home on many an AR15. These scopes have many of the same features as the higher end Burris XTR II, but perhaps fewer of the little things that make the XTR II cost twice as much, such as its unicorn hair reticle*.
Generous eye relief means you'll be hunting for animals, not the reticle, when you need to take a shot right now. Waterproofing and nitrogen purged tubes help prevent fogging even in the most wretched and wet weather conditions. The precision ground lenses ensure maximum light gathering so you don't confuse a fellow hunter for a bear, or a no-shoot target with a shoot target during a low light three gun competition. All of these features, backed up by the Burris Forever Warranty, add up to an unbeatable value.
Diamonds Aren't Forever, But Burris' Warranty Is
Burris' Forever Warranty means that they stand behind what they sell – no charge, no questions asked, no registration required – send in a damaged or defective Burris optic and they'll repair or replace it. It's hard to beat that kind of service commitment.
Legal note: Burris XTR II scopes do not actually have unicorn hair reticles. You will, however, believe in magic after you look through one at dusk.
