If you are a dedicated AR builder, odds are you are familiar with CMC triggers. Whether you used one before or not, you likely know someone who trusts these triggers to get the job done right. They offer a crisp break, smooth pull, and are reliable enough to function on a competitive or duty weapon. Trusted by so many in the industry, it was only a matter of time before they started releasing new models beyond the standard AR. Well, that time has finally come and many expect that Shot Show 2017 will come with an official reveal. In the meantime, it seems that the latest reveal comes in the form of a new Glock CMC Flat Trigger. To say we’re excited would be an understatement.
Leaked Information About the New CMC Glock Trigger
Though the image quality is not the best, users in various online communities have been circulating this image about the new trigger. Rather than trying to squint and figure out what it says, here is a list of the features as outlined:
- Ultra-crisp trigger
- Glass-smooth break
- Minimal lock time
- Positive trigger reset
- Easy to install
- Totally self-contained, one-piece assembly
- Made from 8620 alloy steel and S7 tool steel with machined tolerances at +/- .001”
Perhaps more significant than these specifications, it appears that the new trigger will be offered for 9mm, .40 S&W, and some Gen 4 models as well.
Should You Get a CMC Trigger?
In case you haven’t used one before, it’s important to realize the reputation that CMC Triggers has within the industry. For years, their name has been synonymous with quality. As alluded to above, many AR builders love using these triggers because they know they will get the utmost quality with their build. Competitive shooters are especially fond of this configuration as the flat face and smooth break make it easy to stay on target with every shot. Since they are built tough and reliable, you can trust that the trigger will last too.
Installation is Easy
Perhaps one of the most important aspects of the CMC design is that each trigger is self-contained. This makes them exceptionally easy to install and ensures that users can put them in place without issue. This contained design not only makes it easy to install, but also provides a more robust platform that is long-lasting and easy to maintain. It’s perfect for those who are modifying their Glock for the first time and ideal for those who just want to make a simple change for a notable difference.
One thing is for sure, Omaha Outdoors will be carrying a stock of these new triggers when they are released and we are greatly looking forward to seeing them in action. This comes as another welcome addition from CMC, which will also be showcasing an AK trigger group at Shot Show. With two new releases like this, it seems they will be making some serious moves in 2017.
