BAD: Lowers from Regular to Extra Crispy

On the more regular end of things, BAD took the standard forged AR15 lower receiver and turned it up to 11 with the BAD-15 Gen 2. Every receiver is made from 7075-T6 forgings which are then machined using the most advanced processes on the planet including Wire EDM for the magwell – not a broach cut or CNC – and 3D high power laser engraving for the logo, text, and fire markings which results in a beautiful and deeply engraved lower. All pin holes are reamed to size, not drilled, and the safety selector stops have been machined away for a smoother appearance and compatibility with the BAD-ASS and BAD-CASS safeties, and in addition the safety selector hole has been machined with a relief cut for the short throw versions of the BAD-ASS and BAD-CASS safeties. The Gen 2 version of this receiver kicks it up yet another notch to include a set screw for the bolt catch and a captured takedown pin for use with receiver endplate-free stock designs from BAD. Finally, there's a tension screw to keep the upper and lower from wobbling or moving. Total weight is 8.22 ounces for the BAD-15, which is available in black, OD Green, FDE, and Gun Metal Gray.

Continuing up the ladder of awesomeness where the BAD receivers may be found, the BAD556-LW lower receiver picks up where the BAD-15 left off and blasts into outer space. Meant to be as lightweight as possible while maintaining strength, BAD even has a patent pending on their lightweight design. As with the BAD-15, the BAD-556 features a laser engraved logo, compatibility with the short throw BAD-ASS and BAD-CASS, set screws and tension screws for various pins, and so on. Where the BAD-556 goes crazy is with weight reduction, some of which can't even be seen when the receiver is assembled as part of a complete rifle. By thinning various parts of the lower and hollowing out others, a significant weight reduction is achieved. Of course, it matches up perfectly with the BAD-556 LW upper receiver, and we carry these as receiver sets as well. Final weight for a stripped BAD-556 LW lower is 6.84 ounces.

Maximum space gun level is achieved by the BAD-PDW monolithic PDW lower receiver and stock system, which is machined from the ground up to be as strong as possible while keeping weight to a minimum and overall length to never-before-seen dimensions. Sold as a kit including all of BAD's best parts like the BAD-EBC, BAD-EMMR, and BAD-CASS, if you need the best PDW lower around, you'd be hard pressed to find something better than the BAD-PDW.
