Armasight night vision scopes and thermal scopes from Omaha Outdoors are among the best optics you can buy, with an added bonus: they let you hunt in the dark.
Armasight night vision scopes and thermal scopes from Omaha Outdoors allow hunters, law enforcement officers, military members, and tactical shooters to shoot, fight, and win at any hour of the day. Night vision systems aren’t new, but Armasight makes them more effective and more available and affordable than ever before.
Thermals Aren’t Just For Call of Duty Any More
Until the last few years, and especially until Armasight and FLIR joined forces, affordable and effective infrared optics for civilian use, including weapon mounted use, were vaporware. You could buy thermal devices, but they were either of such low resolution as to be useless at distance or they were so expensive as to rival a new car in terms of price. Thanks to Armasight, they are now useful at distance and only cost as much as an older used car that makes a funny noise when you are in third gear.
Armasight’s newest releases, produced in conjuction with FLIR, are the ThermoSight R and ThermoSight CM series clip-on thermal rifle sight and the Q14B thermal mini monocular. Unlike older thermal optic designs which had tiny 160x120 or even 80x60 sensors with no optical enhancement, the ThermoSight R is available with up to 640x480 resolution and a 75mm lens to gather as much information as possible about what’s out there.
The Q14 thermal mini monocular is tiny and doesn’t have the same range as the bigger and heavier ThermoSight clip-ons, but it can be helmet or head-mounted like a night vision monocular. Featuring the same 12 micron FLIR Boson technology as the ThermoSights, it is years ahead of many products still in use by the US Military. Unlike night vision, thermal optics require no outside light and allow the user to see through dust, smoke, and other potentially obscuring factors. Until now, they’ve been essentially out of reach for most civilians.
Night Vision for Everyone
Armasight’s CORE (Ceramic Optical Ruggedized Engine) technology ups the ante on Generation I night vision devices. While it’s not built with all the image intensification features of a Gen II or Gen III night vision device, it’s a huge leap beyond other Gen I devices in terms of effectiveness and construction, leading to it being much more durable than the competition. In addition, it delivers a clearer sight picture to the viewer through reduced distortion as well as increased photosensitivity. What all this means is that you’ll be able to see better in the dark with a more rugged optic at a previously unheard-of price.
Whether you’re a coyote hunter on a budget or a police officer pulling duty as a SWAT sniper, Armasight has a product to meet your needs and your budget - and to expand your capabilities beyond daylight hours.
