Is it legal to buy guns online?
Yes, you can buy guns online legally. However, online gun dealers such as Omaha Outdoors may only ship firearms to licensed firearms dealers who have a Federal Firearm License (FFL). Use our FFL lookup tool to find a FFL near you. This is where you will pickup your firearm once it arrives.
Can I bypass the background check by buying firearms online?
No. You will still need to undergo a background check at the receiving FFL gun dealer. We recommend choosing an FFL gun dealer near you and contacting the dealer as soon as you have placed your order to discuss any transfer fees, initiating the background check, and arranging to pickup your Omaha Outdoors package once it arrives. Omaha Outdoors adheres to all state and federal laws, regarding the sale of firearms to customers in states if restrictions apply.
Will refinishing my firearm void the manufacturer’s warranty?
Usually when you modify or disassemble a firearm, the manufacture warranty is voided. In order for Omaha Outdoors to refinish or coat your firearm to a different color, the firearm has to be disassembled. Omaha Outdoors offers a 12 month workmanship warranty and will cover the shipping costs to and from. The warranty does not cover wear and tear or accidental damage. If the coating bubbles or wipes off easily with acetone or brake cleaner, that would be covered in the workmanship warranty. If you have a firearm malfunction, you would need to contact Omaha Outdoors and not the manufacture. If you send your firearm directly to the manufacture for troubleshooting or repair, Omaha Outdoors will not responsible for any expenses incurred.
Ordering and Returns Questions
Can I return an item if I am not happy with it?
We accept many returned items so long as they eligible for returns (see our return policy) are unopened, in their original packaging, and returned within 30 days. Firearms may only be returned if you have not yet taken possession from the FFL dealer.
Which types of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover as well as Omaha Outdoors gift cards. Due to restrictions on firearms transactions, we do not accept American Express or PayPal.
Do you charge sales tax?
We are required by law to collect sales tax in the state of Texas. If you are in a state other than Texas, we do not collect sales tax.
Do you offer layaway?
All items selling for $400 or more, will be eligible for our layaway program. Any clearance items will not be eligible. There will be a 10% charge of the sale price for 3 months and 20% charge for 5 months. This helps pay for storage and administrative wages, to deal with credit card declines and updating credit card numbers. Make a 20% payment or more every 30 days until the item is paid in full. Maximum of 5 months will be allowed. We will not accept payments after 5 months. If you cannot afford the payments, then this item is not for you. If you cancel or 30 calendar days pass without a payment, then the layaway and all payments will be forfeited. Layaway payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
How will I know if my items have shipped?
Omaha Outdoors will email you a notification when your order has shipped. In addition, you can check your order status online. Simply log into OmahaOutdoors.com/track. Here you can track the status of your order.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping varies based on several factors including item weight and size, shipping destination, shipping carrier, and shipping method selected. When placing an order, you will be prompted to select your shipping preferences. From there, you will be presented with the shipping cost.
